CARE PACKAGES FOR HOMELESS YOUTH IN BALTIMORE
We are currently raising money to contribute to the fall/winter wish list of the Youth Empowered Society (YES) Drop-In Center, a safe space for youth who are homeless and between the ages of 14-25. YES works to meet basic needs, establish supportive relationships with peer staff and allies, and develop the leadership and employment readiness of youth who have experienced homelessness. Show your support by donating to our Go Fund Me page or buying a one-of-a-kind charm bracelet here.
TUTORING AND HOMEWORK HELP
With many school districts opting for the fall semester to resume with virtual instruction, we know that many students may not be getting the academic resources or attention they would normally get in a traditional classroom setting. Because of this, the Virago Project is building a peer-to-peer tutoring network in which senior students would be available to assist students of any age with homework, test prep, or any other academic needs. We are currently reaching out to parents and schools across the Baltimore Metropolitan Area to connect with students that have needs we can meet. If you are a student or know a student that needs assistance, feel free to contact us. If you are interested in becoming a tutoring volunteer or a tutored student, click here to sign- up!
